What happened in 2007?
The SNP became the largest party at Holyrood for the first time, finishing one seat ahead of Labour.
Scottish Parliament elections use the Additional Member System: 73 constituency MSPs are combined with 56 regional MSPs. The two ballots mean constituency and regional vote shares are separate measures.
