General election results
For Westminster elections we prioritise official declarations and datasets published by the House of Commons Library. Its election datasets provide constituency-level results, party vote shares, turnout and candidate information, including detailed data for the 2024 general election and historic general election results going back to 1918.
Upcoming elections
Our postcode lookup uses the Electoral Commission’s election-information service for forthcoming elections and local polling information where available.
Results versus polling
Election results are observed votes cast and counted. Polls are estimates based on samples. UKDecides keeps the two categories visually and editorially separate.
