What happened in 2026?
The SNP remained the largest party with 58 of 129 seats. The result returned six parties to Holyrood.
Scottish Parliament elections use the Additional Member System: 73 constituency MSPs are combined with 56 regional MSPs. The two ballots mean constituency and regional vote shares are separate measures.
